As a fashion historian, theorist, and writer based in London, my work is deeply rooted in uncovering and amplifying the often-overlooked histories of Afro-Latina and Caribbean women. Fashion, for me, is not merely a study of garments and aesthetics but a vital lens through which to examine cultural identity, resistance, and the legacies of colonialism.

My research is driven by a decolonial framework, which challenges dominant narratives and seeks to recenter marginalised voices within fashion history. Central to my practice is the belief in the transformative power of fashion. Clothing becomes not merely a form of adornment but a visual storytelling tool capable of transcending language barriers and societal norms.

Within my work, intersectional feminism, identity, the erotic and Marxism theory become reoccurring motifs, striving to edify the intersectionality of fashion, culture, and identity to shed light on narratives often relegated to the margins.
